What’s in it for you!
- Competitive compensation: Impressive base salary + up to 40% bonus potential
- Leadership role: Guide a 10–15 person marketing team, including direct reports in design, photography, content, and trade shows
- Autonomy & collaboration: Partner closely with the COO and EVPs to translate frontline sales needs into high‑ROI marketing activations
- Strategic impact: Define brand architecture across 35 acquired companies and drive sales support for B2B and B2C segments
- Work-life balance: Flexible environment that values results over hours
Impact: You’ll be the leader for marketing—designing and executing brand consolidation or multi‑brand strategies that support sales, not overshadow it. Whether you combine 35 legacy companies into one unified brand or preserve distinct identities under a house of brands, you’ll clarify positioning, sharpen messaging, and equip commercial teams with campaigns and content that win deals.
The Client
Our client is a leading U.S. equipment retailer with a multi-channel, multi-brand eCommerce presence that represents a significant share of annual revenue. With aggressive growth plans across both direct-to-business and end-user markets, they’re looking for a marketing leader who treats marketing as a business accelerator, not just an expense line.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Consolidation & Strategy: Resolve “house of brands” vs. “branded house” confusion; craft a cohesive identity and messaging hierarchy for all sub-brands —Decide to integrate acquisitions or maintain separate brand identities with clear guidelines.
- Sales Enablement Partnership: Build a formal intake process so EVPs co‑create marketing plans, ensuring every campaign addresses real-time field needs and demonstrates measurable ROI.
- Organic & Video Social Media: Elevate Facebook and X performance, launch an employee‑driven organic program, and leverage YouTube for how‑to videos showcasing track replacement, troubleshooting, and use cases.
- Customer Segment Focus: Tailor content and campaigns for landscapers seeking one‑off parts, rental companies needing urgent replacements, and eCommerce shoppers on Amazon, eBay, and 18 brand websites.
- Reporting & Analytics: Define clear KPIs, dashboards, and quarterly reviews that tie marketing spend to sales outcomes and Amazon first‑buy performance.
- Leadership & Change Management: Bring high emotional IQ to guide a fatigued organization—secure buy‑in for new processes without dismissing past efforts.
- Sales-Driven Marketing Partnership: Establish a formal intake and feedback process so EVPs co-own marketing plans and see clear ROI
-
Organic Social Media & Employee Advocacy: Build and execute a social content strategy that leverages key employee voices to showcase products, services, and culture
-
Digital Marketing & Analytics: Lead paid and organic digital campaigns, define KPIs, and deliver transparent performance reporting
-
Optional eCommerce Oversight: If highly experienced, own digital merchandising, content management, and paid digital ads in partnership with the corporate development team
Ideal Candidates will meet some or all of the following…
- Experience: 10+ years in B2B/B2C marketing leadership, ideally within equipment, industrial, or multi-brand eCommerce environments
- Brand & Marketing Mindset: Comfortable deciding on single vs. multi‑brand strategies; treats marketing as a sales support function rather than a headline driver.
- Social Media Expertise: Track record growing organic social programs on Facebook, X, and YouTube; skilled at mobilizing employees to create authentic content.
- Sales‑First Orientation: Understands the nuances of selling skid tracks and heavy‑equipment parts; knows customers, SKUs (50K+), and can beautify EVP plans to win trust.
- Operational & Analytical: Process‑driven, data‑savvy, with experience setting up intake workflows, budgets, and ROI reporting.
- People Leadership: Empathetic coach who rallies teams through change and elevates existing talent—no ego, no suits, just down‑to‑earth collaboration.
- Optional eCommerce P&L: Experience managing digital merchandising, paid ads, and content on platforms like Amazon, Shopify, or Magento is a bonus.
